Teen Choice Awards 2014: Style and Beauty Trends

The 2014 Teen Choice Awards featured so many vibrant colours, simple yet classy hairstyles, and flawless makeup looks!
I've always loved watching award shows for the style and fashion trends so I decided to post a blog about all of my favourite looks from the event which were held in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium.
The first fashionista is Lucy Hale from the television show called Pretty Little Liars. I simply adore her look and it is my favourite look of the evening. Her red dress by Dior is perfect and sets her apart from many other celebrities who opted for a colourful look. I found a cute red v-neck dress here that you might like!
Lucy's makeup is simple and does not take away from the rest of the ensemble. The smoky eye makeup suits this look perfectly since it is not too dramatic and adds a natural finish to everything. She kept the blush and bronzer on the lighter side so that her eyes would be the main attraction. Love her whole look and I am excited to see what she wears to the next award ceremony.
Here is another look that had people talking! Pretty Little Liars' star Shay Mitchell decided to keep it classy and down to earth with her white lace bustier and pencil skirt at the Teen Choice Awards. This ensemble compliments her slim figure and suits her tanned skin tone quite nicely. She paired this look with silver Jimmy Choo pumps (personally, I would have worn gold stilettos instead) but if you like the pumps, I found similar ones that are not as expensive here.
Everyone was talking about her hair! I love the braid and how it is draped to one side. Her stylists did it right!

She opted for a dark plum lipstick on her lips so it is safe to suggest Rebel by MAC if you would like to achieve the same look as Shay. For her eyes, she has a smoky makeup look which compliments the plum lip colour on her lips.
You know her from The Vampire Diaries and she looked incredible, as always! Nina Dobrev brought something different to the award show with her Vionnet ensemble which was paired with those perfect hot pink pointy stilettos. I found similar ones here or if you want light pink heels, I found these by Asos.
As for her hair, Nina wore it in a chic fishtail braid which went nicely with her vibrant look.
She sported nude lips and smoky eyes with barely there bronzer all over her face.
Bella Thorne reminds me of a beautiful fairy princess in the dress she wore to the Teen Choice Awards. Bella looked glamorous and she kept her makeup and accessories simple. She wore a thin gold necklace around her neck and left her hair down and slightly wavy.
Bella's makeup looked beautiful with gold eyeshadow all across her lids, mascara and a pink coloured lipstick.
I saved this look for last since it is one of my favourite looks and it was worn by Zendaya Coleman. This hot pink halter/cutout dress truly shapes Zendaya's petite and toned body. Everything about this look screams fabulous! This fuchsia custom made Material Girl dress and a pair of pointy-toed hot pink patent leather pumps had me falling in love with hot pink. I absolutely love wearing hot pink in the summer and since the season is almost over, I think I just might wear hot pink one last time thanks to Zendaya.
I love Zendaya's neutral makeup which did not take away from the rest of her look. She kept it simple with light foundation, mascara, and a pink lipstick.
