L'Oréal Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner- Product Review

16:04

Hello everyone!

I stumbled upon a commercial for the new Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo by L'Oreal and I knew that I would be purchasing them soon. Yes, the commercial lured me into buying this product but have you watched it? I researched the products online before purchasing them and I liked what I read and there were so many positive reviews. Off to Target I went! I was eager to find out if these products were worth a try or pass on the buy.

I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for three weeks and my hair has improved and feels much thicker.

I always use the shampoo first and then apply the conditioner to my ends for 5 minutes. I love the smell of both so I don't mind leaving the conditioner in my hair for a long time. The shampoo and conditioner are both rich and creamy in texture. Apply a small amount of conditioner because a small amount truly goes a long way. The shampoo lathers really well and did I mention that it smells amazing?

After one week: My hair felt thicker, extremely soft and easy to comb through. My hair did not fall out or feel lifeless after straightening or blow drying it.

After two weeks: My hair felt stronger and looked more full without blow drying it and just allowing it to air dry. The shampoo does a great job of cleaning the hair without stripping it of essential moisture.

After three weeks: My hair still felt thicker and when styling it in a ponytail, I only had to tie the elastic around my hair twice rather than my usual three times.

Overall, this combo worked for me since my hair is finer and did not have the volume I always wanted to achieve. I have used many volumizing shampoos that leave my hair extremely dry so that was a huge concern for me since one of the ingredients is sodium lauryl sulfate. Sodium lauryl sulfate is very drying and can be found in so many volumizing shampoos to strip hair of oils, thus ensuring no oils will flatten your hair; however, this shampoo also left my hair soft and manageable.

I rate the shampoo 4/5

I rate the conditioner 3.8/5  (Too creamy and needs to be rinsed thoroughly to get it out of your hair)

Have you tried these products by L'Oreal? If so, what did you like/did not like about them? Leave a comment below!
