Hair Prodcuts that Beat the Winter Blues
19:32I have been in the process of revamping my hair care routine over the past couple of months and I have come across some great products you can try. My hair gets rather dull during the winter months and I hate how lifeless it can look so I went on a hunt to find products that really work!
Before I start, I should mention that my hair is long, fine, and wavy. I have a lot of hair and sometimes it can get very frizzy. I haven’t colored it since August, and I have been touching it up every six weeks so obviously there is some damage.
Here are my top hair products to use in the winter:
1). Garnier Fructis : Deep Repair Mask, Goodbye Damage This is the most affordable of all of my hair care products! It is a conditioning hair mask which smells like apricots and it is definitely one of my favorite hair masks so far. A good trick is to apply a very small amount to the ends of your hair, roll your hair in a bun before bed and wash it out in the morning. I promise that your ends will be looking healthier and shinier. This is not a heavy or thick formula, and it is not sticky either! It is very easy to rinse this mask out of your hair and easy to style your hair afterwards. This mask is perfect for people with dry, lifeless split ends because it replenishes the hair and brings it back to looking healthy.
2). 12 Benefits – Instant Healthy Hair Treatment
I received this product in my October Birchbox. For those of you who don’t know, Birchbox is a monthly box that is mailed to you and you get to sample popular beauty products for a low cost. No matter what the season, if you’re using heat on your hair, a thermal protect product is an absolute must have to prevent split ends, brittle and broken hair. This is a leave in hair spray that leaves hair extra soft and easy to manage. I spray this on my hair before I use a curling wand or a flat iron. This spray is awesome because it reduces static, and I know everyone hates that during the dry winter months.
3). Shu Uemura Muroto Volume Shampoo & Conditioner
…this shampoo is a bit pricey, but the good news is, it’s worth every penny! My hair gets so dull during the winter months but after using this shampoo only twice, I noticed a big difference. After using it for the second time, I let my hair air dry and my hair looked incredibly smooth and easy to style. Because this line is geared towards people with dry, lifeless, and fine hair seeking volume, you don’t need too much product.
4). Moroccanoil Treatment
Last but not least, the Moroccanoil hair treatment is my holy grail product during the winter months. I like adding waves to my hair and I can’t do it without my heat styling tools that are quite damaging to my hair. This oil treatment adds shine and prevents damage whether it is environmental or heat styling damage. Hair goes from rough and frizzy to shiny and manageable. I use this product on my damp hair and after styling it. I will warn you that a little bit goes a long way when it comes to this product.
