My Healthy Fall and Winter Skin Care Tips

18:33

With winter just around the corner, I decided to share my skin care tips with all of you.
I have combination skin all year round but the winter causes certain areas on my face to become severely dry and flaky! I am sure you know what that means: Makeup that looks uneven and that horrible feeling when your skin is so dry and you wish you could do something about it.

I can't stress how important it is to drink water. Not only does water improve your overall health, but it also hydrates your skin. Keep a bottle in your purse if you are constantly on the go!

The air can get extremely dry during the cold seasons, so I purchased a humidifier and what a difference! It helped my breathing and I noticed that my skin wasn't as dry. You can buy a humidifier at your local drug store.

Keeping you skin clean and unclogging pores is a great idea in the fall and winter. I know my skin loves the Clarisonic and it has transformed my skin from dull to soft and smooth. I always use it after a night out to remove any excess makeup.

I used to struggle with dry spots until I started using this moisturizer by Avene. It is light but it does a great job at hydrating my skin without making it oily. It has SPF 20 which we still need even in the winter so don't forget to moisturize this winter.

During the winter, I take one tablet of Vitamin C per day. I take it to keep my skin radiant looking. I love eating foods that are rich in Vitamin C. Some of my favourites are oranges, bell peppers, squash, grapefruit, tomatoes, strawberries, and broccoli. Vitamin C also repairs sun damaged skin so if you know your skin suffers from any damage, try incorporating a little more Vitamin C in your diet.
